For this past week, I chose to take on another challenge from the Digital Photography School website’s Weekly Assignment. The assignment was “Walk, bike, drive or fly exactly 10 minutes from where you live and shoot what’s there. No 9 minute or 11 minute trips. You have to shoot what is there and even if just a few feet down the road is a better shot, you must work with what you have.” Oh, and the theme of the month is Black and White, so the image had to convert to Black and White.I took a short 10 minute drive down the road, and found this to be quite the difficult challenge. I found a bush with some great red color in it that I got a nice macro shot of. The problem is, all of that great color is lost when I converted it to B&W. Here is the original color version, followed by the black and white image. Tough and something worth trying again.
